Middle Schools, you are welcome to tour campus as a self-guided tour, but we are not offering any official middle school group visits for this fall semester. We will begin offering middle school visits again in the spring. If your group is interested in a self-guided or K-12 programs on campus, we are partnered with our Biodiversity Institute and Natural History Museum to make the most of your time. For more information, please visit Group Visits | KU Biodiversity Institute and Natural History Museum or contact their Visitor Experience team at 785-864-4450 | nhmvs@ku.edu

    Start Time:
Group visits are offered Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning at 10 a.m., Wednesdays at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., with select Wednesdays in October offering an additional visit at 9 a.m., at the Jayhawk Welcome Center (1266 Oread Ave). Fall semester group visits will be offered from early September to early December with select blackout dates.

We encourage your group to arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled campus visit time. We cannot guarantee a campus visit to groups that arrive more than 30 minutes late.

    Chaperones:
KU requires 1 chaperone for every 10 students in attendance during your group visit. Chaperones must remain with students throughout the duration of their group visit.

    Group Visits include:

    • Presentation on admission requirements and scholarships
    • Campus tour and housing drop-in
    • Optional lunch paid by the visiting school.

Please Note: If you are not available in the morning, your group might not be able to have a guided walking campus tour if the temperature is not safe for our guests and student tour guides. Our temperature threshold for walking tours of campus is if the "feels like" temperature is at or above 98°F.  Once it reaches 98 or higher, we will have a student panel in place of the tour, pending tour guide availability.

    Additional opportunities include:
Touring Allen Fieldhouse, the cost is $25 per person, and you will need to make those reservations on your own by visiting: kuathletics.com/allen-fieldhouse-tours. If you're interested in visiting the DeBruce Center, which houses the Original Rules of Basketball, it is open to the public and does not charge a fee.
